Anna Marie Arbogast

Anna Marie Arbogast, 78, formerly of Lewisburg and most recently of Boalsburg, passed away on June 17, 2017, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

She was born April 24, 1939 in Laurelton, the daughter of the late George Henry Sr. and Catherine (Garlinger) Miller. On March 27, 1963, she married Conrad P. “Bud” Arbogast and together they celebrated 17 years of marriage until his death on November 15, 1980.

Anna graduated from Mifflinburg High School.  She worked as a cook at the former Temperance House and Lewisburg Inn.  Anna later retired from the former JPM Company, Lewisburg.

She lived a full life and enjoyed her crafts and sewing.  Those who knew Anna well knew of her love for cats, especially her special girl, Samantha, and her grand kitties, Jack and Lewis.

Surviving are four children, Catherine Arbogast, of Boalsburg, Conrad Arbogast Jr., of Sunbury, Amanda Reigel and her husband, Mark, of Mechanicsburg, and Anna “Maggie” Arbogast and her partner, Michael Erbe, of Bensalem; and one grandson, Justin Geesey.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, James Henry Arbogast; and one brother, George Henry Miller Jr.

Friends and family will be received from 10:30 a.m. to Noon Thursday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg, where a funeral service will be held at Noon with Rev. John E. Lee, retired United Methodist minister, officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Lewisburg Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Anna’s name be made to the Centre County Paws, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.
