Dolores Ann Smith

Dolores Ann Smith, 90, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home.

She was born October 5, 1928 in Portsmouth, OH, the daughter of the late Roy G. and Ocie Jane (Brown) Ivers. On May 21, 1947 she married Harry Smith who preceded her in death January 19, 2014. Together they celebrated 66 years of marriage.

Dolores was a 1946 graduate of West Portsmouth High School. She worked as bookkeeper at the former Claster Lumber Company, Milton, now YBC, for 15 years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Lewisburg. Dolores was also a member of the Penn Wheelers Square Dancing Club.

Dolores enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Florida.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Stan Zellers, of Lewisburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Marguerite Smith, of Lewisburg and Richard and Debra Smith, of New Columbia; six grandchildren, Amy and Eric Shrader, Brian and Trisha Zellers, Richard II and Jody Smith, Blaine and Corrine Smith, Jennifer and Torre Ruth and Kimberly and Matt Roberts; 13 great-grandchildren and two on the way.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, July 5 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 42 S. 4th St., Lewisburg, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Daniel Wilt, officiating.

Burial will follow in Lewisburg Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 42 S. 4th St., Lewisburg, PA 17837.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers that helped care for Dolores.
