Elaine W. Moran

Elaine W. Moran, 96, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born February 20, 1921 in Cowan, a daughter of the late Forrest and Mildred (Boyer) Wagner.  On August 21, 1961, she married J. William “Tony” Moran, who preceded her in death in 1982.

Elaine was a 1939 graduate of Lewisburg High School. She attended Central Pennsylvania Business School in Harrisburg.

She worked as a secretary for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 29 years before retiring in 1975.

Elaine was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg.

Surviving are numerous cousins.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Church, 41 S. Eighth St., Lewisburg, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., with Father Mark Wilke, officiating.

Burial will follow in Lewisburg Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Elaine’s name be made to either Sacred Heart Church, 41 S. 8th St. Lewisburg, PA 17837 or to Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Benevolence Fund, 189 East Tressler Blvd. Lewisburg, PA 17837.

The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
