Emma K. Fertig

Emma K. Fertig, 90, of Lewisburg, died on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Rolling Hills Healthcare and Rehab Center, Millmont.

She was born August 12, 1929 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Wesley and Blanche (Straub) Geiswite.  On June 15, 1948 she married Robert W. Fertig who preceded her in death on May 19, 2007.  Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Emma worked for 30 years at Evangelical Hospital in Food Services.

Surviving are two children, Rick Fertig and his wife Debra, of Watsontown, and Betty Harvey; one son-in-law, Ronald Rowles of Osceola Mills; and six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one daughter, Cathy Rowles; three brothers, Bill Geiswite, Russell Geiswite and John Geiswite Sr.; one sister, Ruth Fisher; and one grandson, Kyle Rowles.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Winfield Cemetery.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
