My condolences to the Kron family. I lived in mountain view behind E V hospital in
Lewisburg in the 1960's and knew Mr. Kron when I was very young . At the time I
believe that he was a radio announcer and opened a small store next to his house
that I would ride to get candy on my bicycle. He was very colorful and personable
and I enjoyed his stories . I wondered whatever happened to him after that.
Thank you, Edward Driscoll. Edgewater, Fl.

Sorry to hear of Gar's passing. We worked together at Bucknell's Administrative Services many years ago. He was a great story teller and a fun person to be around. I wish him peace and his family comfort in this loss.

I first knew Gar when he was with the local radio stations and later saw him regularly when he was at Bucknell. Always enjoyed talking with him. Thoughts and prayers are with him and the family. May he rest peacefully with God.

I attended Bucknell from 1987-1991 and was a member of the football team. During my time there Gar was our equipment manager, and a group of us go to know him pretty well. Well enough I guess that he invited us out to his place for a cook out, and introduced us to the game of quoits. It's odd, but each time I revisit campus I always look to his house and remember that day. When I first left I used to look and see if he would be outside each time I came back. I remember a lot of his stories, but the story of him announcing the soap box derby races in Ohio always sticks in my mind.
I am very sorry for your loss. He was a great man, who will be remembered fondly by many of us.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Sounds like your dad had a very full filling life in his earlier years.

Sorry to hear of Gar's passing. We worked together many years ago at the Lewisburg radio station (WUDO or WTGC at the time) where I learned a lot from Gar, and we shared lots of laughs. Lost track of him when I went into the Navy in 1967. Condolences to Peggy and their children and grandchildren.
