Helen M. Yordy, 84, of 4750 State Rt. 44, Watsontown, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.

She was born May 10, 1931 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Elmer L. and Susie R. (Donachy) Heimbach. On Sep. 26, 1964 she married Russell F. Yordy, Jr., who survives. Together they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Helen was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, New Columbia.

A mother and homemaker, she loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Helen also enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting and was an excellent cook.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Victor Yordy and his wife, Kathy, Vincent Yordy and his wife, Margaret, Veris Yordy and his wife, Crystal and Timothy Yordy and his fiancee, Justine A. Peace, all of Dewart; three daughters, Connie Bechtol and Sandra Perko and her husband, Ken, all of Watsontown and Bobbi Mathias and her husband, Harold, of Dewart; a brother, Glen Heimbach, of Milton; five sisters, Gladys Guffey and her husband, George, of Lewisburg, Bette Fogelman and her husband, Norman, of Milton, Sara Clow and her husband, Robert, of St. Louis, Missouri, Linda Lower and her husband, James and Kay Tyson and her husband, John, all of Lewisburg; ten grandchildren, Victor, Koehler, Adam, Andrew, Zachary, Veris II, Ariel, Aleah, Tayler and Logan; and nine great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Zoe, Emma, David, Griffin, Colby, Kyelan, Emmet and Gianna.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Ethel Guffey and an infant brother, Elmer Heimbach.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 904 Old Rt. 15, New Columbia, where the funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in Uniontown Cemetery, Allenwood.

The family welcomes flowers, however, if desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 904 Old Rt. 15, New Columbia, PA 17856.

The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
