Lois E. Sterry

Lois E. Sterry, 92, of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born July 3, 1925 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Samuel S. and Eva L. (Decker) Pauling. On January 20, 1952, she married Richard “Dick” Sterry and they celebrated 65 years of marriage before his death on June 11, 2017.

Lois attended Montgomery High School.

She was a Member of the Reformed Baptist Church, Lewisburg.

Earlier in life, Lois worked for the former Herr’s Dairy Story and FB Heal’s 10 Cent Store, both in Muncy and the former Ross’ Studio, Lewisburg. After marrying Dick, she spent her time as a homemaker.

Surviving are two sons, John R. Sterry, of Lewisburg and David E. Sterry, of Collegeville; one daughter, Ruth  E. Wertz, of Lewisburg; and four grandchildren, Daniel, Nathan, Richie and Kathy.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, William and Howard and two sisters, Doris and Roxanne.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cronrath­-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lance Bessler, officiating.

Burial will follow in Lewisburg Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. 116 N. Second St. Lewisburg, PA 17837
