Margaret M. Kline

Margaret M. Kline, 89, of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born November 7, 1927, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Leroy and Edna (Rearick) Roat.  She married Raymond Kline on November 27, 1946 and together they celebrated 53 years of marriage until his passing on April 1, 2000.

Margaret was a graduate of Lewisburg High School.  She spent most of her life as a housewife taking care of her family.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Lewisburg.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond “Pete” and Lisa Kline, of White Deer; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Richard Beaver and Judy and Colby Walter, all of Lewisburg, Kathy and Frank Mertz, of Mifflinburg and Susan and David Stump, of Mechanicsburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Walter Katherman, of Mifflinburg; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Terry Kline; one grandson, Christopher Emerick; two brothers, Robert and Richard Roat; and three sisters Edith Muffly, Dorothy Spaid and Verna Eisenhuth.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 in Lewisburg Cemetery, with her pastor the Rev. Judi A. Herrold, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 42 S. 4th St. Lewisburg, PA 17837 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, Harrisburg Office, 2595 Interstate Dr, Ste 100 Harrisburg, PA 17110 or online at www.alz.org.

 The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
