Marianne L. Snyder

Marianne L. Snyder, 85, of New Columbia, died on Friday, January 10, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 23, 1934 in Allenwood, the daughter of the late Boyd and Margaret (Fisher) Stewart. On September 30, 1955 she married Lloyd “Tuffy” Snyder, who preceded her in death on January 30, 2001. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Marianne was a graduate of Milton High School. She loved making lawn ornaments with her husband and traveling to craft shows to sell them for 15 years.

She enjoyed gardening and could always be found in her flower beds or bird watching from her porch.

Surviving are one son, Lloyd Snyder, of New Columbia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Kerry Ficks, of New Columbia and Candie and David Ranck, of Mifflinburg; seven grandchildren, Eric Ficks, Elizabeth Powell, Eugenia Ficks, Jennifer Sarviss, Bobbi Joe Haas, Nathan Snyder and Christopher Snyder; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers.

Burial will be held privately in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
