Raymond William Stiller

Raymond William Stiller, 80, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, at his home.

He was born March 27, 1937 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Raymond Joseph and Myrle (Reese) Stiller. On August 6, 1960, he married the former Mary Ann Heck, who survives. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.  

Raymond received a Bachelor of Music from Susquehanna University and a Sacred Music Master’s degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City.

He served Lutheran Churches in New Jersey, Illinois, and Pennsylvania as a Cantor (organist) choir director for 42 years.

Raymond’s music life touched numerous children, youth and adults throughout his 42 years of service in the LCA.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Eric and Mark Stiller; one brother, Harry Stiller; four grandsons, Christopher, Zackary and Griffin Stiller and Brendan Jesus; one granddaughter, Alexa Stiller and two great grandchildren, Ava and Enzo Stiller.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 5, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 142 Market St. Williamsport.

Interment in the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church columbarium will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive Lewisburg, PA 17837.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
