Ruth C. Albright

Ruth C. Albright, 88, of Columbia Ave., Allenwood, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.

She was born March 21, 1929 in Watsontown, a daughter of the late Raymond and Carrie M. (Lukens) Miller. Ruth and her husband, Elwood L. “Tom” Albright, celebrated 50 years of marriage before his death July 22, 1997.

She was a 1947 graduate of the Watsontown High School. Ruth previously worked at the former Milton Shoe Factory, Weldon’s Manufacturing Company, Muncy and later retired from the former Montgomery Mills, where she was a floor lady.

Ruth was a member of the Washington Presbyterian Church, Allenwood, where she was a member of the choir. She was also a member of the Ramblers Club, the Lewisburg Christian Women’s Club and the New Columbia Senior Citizens Center.

Ruth enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting and search-and-find books. She loved houseplants and decorating her home for the season and holidays.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas L. and Darlene “Dolly” Albright, of Muncy and Ralph E. and Elizabeth “Bunnie” Albright, of Allenwood; two grandsons, Robert and Jonathan Albright.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, William R. Albright; seven brothers, Charles, Allen, Ralph, Harold, Paul, Ned and Robert Miller; and a sister, Mary Taylor.

Friends will be received from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Ruth’s name be made to Washington Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 201, Allenwood, PA 17810.
