I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Coach Thompson. He was a man who literally changed my life. I was a freshman in 1966 with a dream of playing college basketball and Coach helped to make that dream come true. He taught me so much about the game and his enthusiasm, knowledge, and love of basketball are still with me to this day. Tommy related well to his players because he was a genuine and unpretentious man who worked hard every day to make us better players and young men. No wonder he became an institution at Bucknell. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathies to the Thompson family. Tommy was awesome! He was an enormously positive influence on my life, and I loved playing for him. I have thought about him many times since I've graduated, and will continue thinking about him, always with a smile. Please take care of yourselves during this difficult time, and I will be with you in spirit on Wednesday...

It is with great sadness to hear of Coach T's passing. He was a wonderful person and had the perfect demeanor to coach. I played on his Golf team from 1986 to 1990. He was a positive influence in my life and I know he impacted others on our teams positively. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace. - Jon Ingham '90

So sorry to hear of Coach Thompson's passing. I had the good fortune of playing baseball for Tommy from '69 to '71. What a great experience. Maybe because he was only about 10 years older than most of the guys on the team, played some pro ball and was a Bison legend that he had that cool factor. He was an example of a nice guy finishing first. Rest in peace Coach.

I am sorry to hear of Coach T's passing. I had the privilege of playing for him as a member of the Bucknell JV Basketball team from 1989-1991. We were lucky to have him as our coach and friend. He treated us all with dignity and respect and allowed us to flourish as players and young men. He touched many lives -- at Bucknell and beyond. He was a credit to the University. Rest in peace, Coach T. We will miss you. Tim Pastore, Class of 1993.
