William "Wild Bill" Yost

William "Wild Bill" Yost, 82, of Watsontown, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 17, 1934 in New Columbia, a son of the late Lee and Mary (Wetzel) Yost. On September 17, 1953, he married the former Leatrice "Letty" Reeder. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage before her death July 4, 2014.

Bill was a graduate of Watsontown High School. He attended the former Williamsport Area Community College, now Penn College and Bloomsburg University.

He served honorably in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

In October of 1953, he began working as a laborer for ACF, Milton. At age 24, Bill was promoted to a management position, where he worked until his passing.

Bill was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Milton, 1208, the Selinsgrove Moose Lodge 1173 and the Sunbury Social Club.

Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jo and Glenn Hoffman, Wendy and Gregory Trawitz and Crystal Moyer, all of Watsontown and Patti and Earle Cornelius, of Lititz; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Evelyn Yost, of London, CA and Harry "Butch" and Mary Yost, of New Columbia; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jean Zettlemoyer and Ginger and Leroy "Pep" Reidle, all of New Columbia; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, James and Lee Yost.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with his brother-in-law, Rev. Daniel Reeder, officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow in Milton Cemetery.
