Catherine "Katy" A. Widenor

Catherine A.  “Katy” Widenor, 88, of Boalsburg, formerly of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Wynwood House personal care facility in Boalsburg PA.

She was born February 25, 1931 in Mount Union, a daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Toker) Bodnar. On January 10, 1976 she married Douglas Widenor, who preceded her in death on December 4, 2016.  Together they celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Katy was a 1949 graduate of Mount Union Area High School, and she enjoyed attending mini reunions with class members.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg. She often prayed the rosary.

Katy spent most of her time loving and caring for her family; she was a friend to many.

She is survived by her children, Kathryn Craig and her husband, Chip, Susan Bellucci, Jennifer Hendricks and her husband, Brian, Jeffrey Widenor and his wife, Sally, Patti Ault and her husband, David; nine grandchildren, Nicholas DeLongis, Justin Hendricks, James Ault, Anthony Widenor, Megan Widenor, Eric Ault, Amanda Ault, Christopher Widenor and Jacob Koury; and three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie DeLongis, Travis Ault and Tayden Hendricks.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, Carmel Bellucci on October 18th of 1959, two brothers, Paul and Michael Bodnar and one sister, Mary DeVecchis.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Friday, February 21, 2020 at Sacred Heart Church, 814 St. Louis St., Lewisburg, with Deacon Richard Owen officiating.

Fellowship luncheon immediately following the service.

Burial will be held at 3:30 pm on February 21 in St Catherine Cemetery, Shirleysburg, PA.
