Dennis L. Stahl

Dennis L. Stahl, 74, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born January 20, 1946 in Crawford County, a son of the late Orville Sr. and Annie (Vargo) Stahl.  He was married to the former Darlene Wolfe, and together they celebrated 47 years of marriage.

Dennis was a 1965 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.  He worked 44 years as a truck driver for various operators including: Follmer’s, Interstate, St. Johnsbury, Roadway and YRC Freight.  Dennis was an accomplished driver earning the Million Mile Award for driving safely over 1.2 million miles in his career and was also a member of the Central Pennsylvania Teamsters.  Following his retirement, he enjoyed working with his wife at Growing Sprouts Childcare.

He was a member of Mazeppa Union Church.

Dennis was a talented artist and could draw anything imaginable but was most notably known for his Disney characters.  He was a skilled mechanic and spent many hours working on his numerous family cars as well as his prized classic ’67 Corvette and Harley Davidson motorcycle. Dennis was an active Boy Scout in his youth and earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Mazeppa Troop 512.  Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, tractor pulls, NASCAR racing, and football and soccer games at all levels.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters and one son-in-law, Rachel and Jason Dagle, of Selinsgrove, and Sadie Stahl, of Lewisburg; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Orville Stahl Jr, of Milton and Luther and Marie Stahl, of White Deer; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Gary Hoffman, of Mifflinburg, Helen and Charles Klingler, of Florida, and Margie and Steve Erdley, of Lewisburg; and three grandchildren, Molly Stahl, and Sean and Evan Dagle.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Jacob Stahl.

Friends will be received from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 29th at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St. Lewisburg, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. with his Pastor, Ricky Phillips officiating.  Please come with a memory to share.  For everyone’s safety we ask that all attendees adhere to the social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.
