Arlene K. Fritz

Arlene K. Fritz, 101, formerly of Winfield, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

She was born October 21, 1916 in Winfield, a daughter of the late Eyer J. and Ivy F. (Maurer) Kreamer. On October 7, 1938, she married Eston H. Fritz at the UCC parsonage, New Berlin. Together they celebrated 75 years of marriage before his death April 19, 2014.

Arlene was a 1935 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

She was a member of St. John’s Church Dry Valley for many years and taught Sunday School and the Sunshine Class. Arlene was also a member of the Homemakers, New Berlin.

Arlene enjoyed gardening and traveling.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Eston L. and Marlene Fritz, of Winfield and Warren E. and Maria Fritz, of Surf City, NC; four grandchildren, Scott A. Fritz, of Lewisburg, Suzanne Wray, of McClure, Stephen Fritz, of Missouri and Eric Fritz, of North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Bruce Fritz one brother, Gilbert Kreamer and one sister, Fannie Leitzel.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. John’s Church Dry Valley, 3667 Rt. 304, Winfield, with her pastor the Rev. Ricky Phillips, officiating and Pastor Peter Geschwindner, chaplain at RiverWoods, assisting.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Guyer Cemetery, Dry Valley.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John’s Church Dry Valley, 3667 Rt. 304, Winfield, PA 17889.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
