Ashton Wasie Obituary

Ashton D. Wasie, 17, of Williamsport, Pa died unexpectedly Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his home.

He was born January 4, 2001 in Danville, Pa a son of Isaac Wasie, of Coal Township, Pa and Nicole (Thomas) Bickel, of Williamsport, Pa.

Ashton attended Williamsport High School with the class of 2019. He was enrolled in the YES Program and was accepted into the diesel mechanic program at Penn College to begin in the fall semester. He worked with his mother at Bootleg BBQ, Williamsport, assisted his father with renovation of their School in Coal Township, and uncle as a mechanic at the Armory, Williamsport.

Ashton was easy going and loved to make people smile with his sense of humor and generous kind heart. Enjoying working with his hands, fixing things and learning Ashton was excited about taking Penn State edx.org Robotics classes with his father. He was adventurous, social, intelligent, compassionate, and had a strong devotion to his family. His favorite activities were hiking, traveling to new places, movies, video games, listening to music and playing with his animals, especially his cats, Minkie, Dusty Crackers, & Chance as well as his dogs, Lucky & Baby Girl.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a step father, EJ Bickel, of Williamsport; his father’s life partner, Serena Hamilton, of Coal Township; step brother, Qualynn Bickel, of Muncy; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Ginger Miller, of Sunbury; paternal grandmother, Maggie Belisle, of Lewisburg; Numerous aunts, uncles, and 11 cousins including Josh, Grace and Tyler his best friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ernie Poole; and paternal grandfather, Charles A. Wasie.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
