Charlotte J. Smith

Charlotte J. Smith, 73, of Montgomery, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

She was born June 30, 1944 in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Elmer and Doris (Boatman) Myers. Charlotte married Donald Smith and they celebrated 10 years of marriage before his death in 2000.

Charlotte enjoyed word searches, riding motorcycles, country music and listening to the scanner.

Most importantly, she loved her dogs and her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Leon and Echo Morey, of Montgomery and Elmer Morey and his companion, Charlotte Bryson, of Hughesville; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Doris Buss and her fiancé, James Hartley, Jr., of Watsontown, Brenda and Joseph Diehl, of Allenwood, Shirley Morey, of Montgomery and Gidget and Tim Beaver, of Allenwood; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Frank Myers, of Jersey Shore, Grant and Kathy Myers, of Linden and Mertin Myers, of Williamsport, one sister, Shirley Reiggle, of Jersey Shore; step mother, Lois Myers, of Williamsport; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her companion Robert Sharr, of Montgomery.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Wayne Eugene Morey and a grandson, Ryan Keith Fox.

Friends will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 7 with Rev. Dan Cale, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Charlotte’s name be made to Lycoming County SPCA, 2508 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
