Georgia Hill Obituary

Georgia S. Hill, 85, a longtime resident of Allenwood, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 at AristaCare of Loyalsock.

She was born on April 25, 1933 in White Deer, a daughter of the late William E. and Nora J. (Hills) Seaman.   On May 8, 1949 she married Fred H. Hill Sr. and together they celebrated 56 years of marriage until his passing on May 23, 2005.

Georgia, along with her husband, owned and operated Hill’s gun shop, Elimsport, for over 30 years.  She also worked a second job for 32 years at the former American Home Foods, now ConAgra, Milton.

She was a devoted Christian and longtime member of the White Deer Valley Baptist Church.

Georgia was extremely talented and passionate about her craftwork.  She was well known for her baskets and other unique and distinguished work.  Georgia could stitch, sew and knit any kind of clothing or craft imaginable.  She was also an accomplished baker and cook.  Georgia took pride in all of her work, but most important in her life was her family.

She is survived by three children, Geanna Lively and her husband, Howard Slobodinsky, of Montoursville, and Rick Hill Sr. and his wife, Jody, and Fred Hill Jr. and his wife, Dianne, all of Allenwood; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Delia Eisenhauer

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
