Jessica C. Paquin

Jessica C. Paquin, 42, of Milton, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her home.

Born June 13, 1976 in Austin, Texas, she was a daughter of Portia E. (Peters) Schmidt, of Berkeley Springs, WV.

Jessica was a graduate of Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, VA. She worked as the Director of Memberships for the Campus Theatre, Lewisburg.

Jessica enjoyed so many things in her life; from retro toys and antique market oddities, to music, art, film and charitable work. Always a creative force in storytelling, she produced and performed in two feature films, directed and acted in numerous stage plays, and helped start open mic comedy in Lewisburg. She co-founded The Arts Underground, a collaborative, low cost creative space for artists and students. Jessica had a childlike wonder and sharp sense of humor that conveyed to everyone she met. Her love of pop culture memorabilia, the ocean, football, and The Beatles, was only surpassed by the deep love she held for her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her life partner of 12 years, Stephen Gibson, of Milton; brother Jacob Schmidt and his wife Stacey of Harpers Ferry, WV; brother Jonathan Schmidt and his wife Amanda Berry, of Shepherdstown, WV; sister Jennifer Adams and her husband Jason, of Charles Town, WV; niece, Olivia and three nephews, Austin, Emmet and Erik Wilder.

The family is planning a celebration of her life to be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market St. Lewisburg, PA 17837.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Jessica’s memory be made to either the Campus Theatre (www.campustheatre.org) or to the For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, 620 West Germantown Pike, Suite 250 Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 (www.takeabreakfromcancer.org).

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
