John Leon Wayne Morey

John Leon Wayne Morey, 37, of Montgomery, died unexpectedly Friday, June 1, 2018.

Born August 30, 1980 in Lewisburg, he was a son of Leon J.  and Echo Morey, of Montgomery and Debra (Bachman) Morey, of Watsontown.

John was a 2000 graduate of Milton High School. He worked at Unique, Montoursville for 10 years and worked part time at McDonald's, Milton.

He enjoyed participating socially in church activities at Elimsport Baptist Church.

John loved watching football and was an avid Steelers fan. He enjoyed camping and bon fires. Most of all he loved going on vacations with his family and spending time with his dog, Buddy.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his companion for 11 1/2 years, Jessica Long, of Dornsife; his children, Madyson Long, Braxton Morey and Alexa Morey, of Dornsife; four brothers, Robert (Kristen) Morey, of Watsontown, David (Amanda) Morey, of Michigan, Matthew (Shannon) Fox, of Montgomery and Kurtus Fox, of Williamsport; two sisters, Fawn (Mickle) Hammer, of White Deer and Krista Hurst, of Indiana; paternal grandfather, John Leon Morey, of Montgomery; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Betty and Boyd Bachman; paternal grandmother, Charlotte "GiGi" Smith; and an uncle, Donald Bachman.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Bixler, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Williamsport, officiating.
