Melvena J. Ritter

Melvena  J.  Ritter, 91, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Muncy.

She was born February 12, 1927 in Middleburg, a daughter of the late Harvey F. and Mrytle S. (Walter) Hare. On September 19, 1947, she married Eugene A. Ritter and together they celebrated 52 years of marriage before his death on June 28, 2000.

Melvena worked for Catherman’s Candy, Lewisburg for 24 years.

She was a former member of the United Methodist Church, Winfield, where she enjoyed volunteering.

Melvena was a current member of the Lewisburg Bible Church.

Surviving are three nephews, Robin, Ricky and Rocky Hare and two nieces, Candy Feaster and Penny Clouser.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Dale R. Hare and a sister, Leona M. Harner.

Services were held privately at the convenience of the family. 

Burial was held in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
