Shirley A. Willett

Shirley A. Willett, 81, of Watsontown, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Watsontown Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born January 13, 1936 in Watsontown, a daughter of the late Alva and Hazel (Newcomer) Sharr.  She and her husband, Derl F. Willett, celebrated 45 years of marriage before his passing March 9, 1998.

Shirley spent most of her life raising her family and taking care of her home.

She formerly attended St. John’s Lutheran Church (Delaware Run).

Shirley was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzle books.  She also loved being outdoors and taking care of her yard.  Most important to Shirley was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are one daughter, Linda Witmer and her husband, Larry, of Watsontown; three grandchildren, Serena Witmer and her significant other, Rob Wagner, Larry Witmer Jr. and his wife, Sheila, and Angela Salvatori and her husband, Aaron; six great-grandchildren, Nicole, Adrienne, Vanessa, Brandon, Qyn and Parker; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Elijah, Teegyn, Raymond, Jayden, Cohen and Camdyn.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Sharr Sr. and Donald Sharr Sr.; and three sisters, Mildred Raup, Jean Kurtz and Pauline Sharr.

Services and interment in Watsontown Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown.
