Wanda S. Deitrick

Wanda S. Deitrick, 87, of Watsontown, died on January 12, 2018 at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

She was born November 15, 1930 in Tioga, a daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Gay) Steele. On October 14, 1950, she married Doyle O. Deitrick and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage until his death on October 15, 2010.

Wanda graduated from Watsontown High School and State Beauty School, Williamsport.  She owned and operated the former Wanda’s Town and Country Beauty Shoppe, Dewart, for many years.  Wanda later worked for Albright Care Services, Lewisburg.

She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, Watsontown.

Surviving are one son, Jack Deitrick and his wife, Mary Esther, of Avon, IN; two daughters, Sheree Gearhart and her husband, Matt, of Warren, and Heidi Silvagni, of Watsontown; two sisters, Donna Hulbert, of West Henrietta, NY and Karen Steele, of Tarpon Springs, FL; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Robert Steele; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Hulbert.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Friendship Baptist Church, Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown, where a funeral service will be held at 11 with her minister, Pastor Jason King, officiating.

Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown.
