Alda Mae Wagner

Alda Mae Wagner, 103, of Lewisburg, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her home.

She was born April 19, 1917 on the family farm in Union County, a daughter of the late Ijah Kurt & Mary Ellen (Miller) Fetzer. On September 6, 1947 she married Horace “Jake” Wagner. Together they celebrated 47 years of marriage before his death on January 28, 1996.

Alda was a 1936 graduate of Lewisburg High School. She grew up and worked on the family farm. She worked at the Ordinance, W. L. Donehower’s, and retired from what is now known as CVS. 

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Lewisburg.

Alda enjoyed reading.

Most importantly, she loved spending time with family and friends.

Alda is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Donna and Ray Robbins, of Mifflinburg and Karen Ann Wagner, of Lewisburg; three granddaughters, Katrina, Gretchen and Heidi Robbins and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four siblings Winetta, Millard, Myers and Ward.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Lewisburg Cemetery with her pastor the Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.  For everyone’s safety we ask that all attendees adhere to the social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.

The family will provide flowers however if desired, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s United Church of Christ 1050 Buffalo Rd., Lewisburg, PA 17837 or Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Dr. Lewisburg, PA 17837.
