Cyril J. Johnson Jr., 85, of Montgomery, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born February 10, 1938 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Cyril and Pauline (Pedrazzani) Johnson.
Cyril was a 1956 graduate of Montgomery High School and served honorably in the United States Army Reserves. He retired as a Credit Collections Manager after 47 years from LDI, Montgomery. He served 15 years on the Montgomery Area School Board, and many years on the Montgomery Borough Council and the Water & Sewer Authority Boards.
Cyril enjoyed driving through the country, playing with his cats, a lifetime of farming, and teaching his two sons about farming. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.
Surviving are his companion, Cheryl Willard, of New Columbia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Jennifer Johnson and Michael and Kristina Johnson, all of Montgomery; his former spouse, Sandra Johnson, of Montgomery; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, JoAnna Johnson, of Montgomery, Mary and Robert McQuay, of Montoursville, Monica Zimmerman, of FL, and Nancy and Barry McQuay-Hackett, of New Columbia; and four grandchildren, Nolan, Emily, Hannah and Chance.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Marie Bressler and Delores Dewalt.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
