Darlene J. Hagenbuch

Darlene J. Hagenbuch, 55, of Sunbury, died Thursday, March 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born February 21, 1968 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Allen Walburn and Sharon (Young) Bennett. On June 28, 2014 she married Jeffrey Hagenbuch, who survives. Together they celebrated 8 years of marriage.

Darlene attended Warrior Run High School. She worked in food service at Bucknell University for over 25 years.

She enjoyed camping and playing darts.

Darlene was known as a people pleaser, always making sure to put everyone else before herself. Most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving,in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Lisa Ernst and her fiancé, Randy Rider, Jr., of Watsontown; two sons, Brandon Hagenbuch, of Nanticoke and Nathan Hagenbuch, of New Columbia; two brothers, Earl Walburn, of Dewart and Greg Walburn, of Sunbury; one sister, Julia Derr and her husband, John, of Muncy and three grandchildren, Jack and Sara Haas and Adeline Rider.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas and Dale Walburn and her mother-in-law, Linda Kipple.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6p.m. on Thursday, March 9 at the Grenoble Funeral Home & Crematory, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where a funeral will be held at 6 p.m.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Watsontown Cemetery.
