Donna J. Hoban

Donna J. Hoban, 90, of Lewisburg, died on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village.

She was born April 14, 1930 in Carbondale, a daughter of the late Kirk Buckland. She was raised by her father and step mother, Florence Buckland. On September 29, 1951 she married William P. Hoban, who preceded her in death on August 18, 2011. Together they celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Donna spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. Earlier in life she was a band chaperon while her son played in the high school band. She also loved babysitting her grandchildren.

She was a life member of the William Cameron Engine Company Auxiliary, where she was the treasurer.

Donna enjoyed sewing, crocheting and ceramics.

Surviving are one son, William Hoban, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Lewisburg; one sister, Carole Miller, of Clifford; two grandchildren, Shana Supatina and her husband, Jason, of Lewisburg and Ty Hoban and his wife, Keri, of Turbotville and five great-grandchildren, Lynnlee, Kaihley and Cole Hoban and Teagan and Talan Supatina.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Paisley Noelle Hoban.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Lewisburg Cemetery with the Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.
