Donna K. Sherwood

Donna K. Sherwood, 81, of Montgomery, died Monday, April 17, 2023 at We Care at Loyalsock, Montoursville.

Born November 5, 1941 in Eldred Township, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Althea (Waltz) Hyde. On June 10, 1961 she married Charles L. Sherwood, who preceded her in death May 6, 2000. Together they celebrated 38 years of marriage.

Donna was a graduate of Williamsport High School. Earlier in life she enjoyed being a homemaker. Donna retired in 2000 from the former Williamsport Hospital, now UPMC Susquehanna, where she worked for 28 years.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Montgomery, where she was involved with various activities.

Following retirement, Donna was fond of crafting and creating flower arrangements. She was proud to assist the Montgomery Area Christmas Committee yearly. Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren; attending their sporting events and teaching them to bake.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Kim M. and Elken Pressler, of New Bloomfield, Cindy M. and Jack McArdle and Charlotte F. and Craig Dudek, all of Hughesville; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Don Robinson, of Cogan Station; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy Hyde, of Cogan Station; six grandchildren, Kaitlin Pressler, Megan Pressler, Cody (Brooke) McArdle, Atira McArdle, Olivia (John Jr.) Wallen and Chase Dudek; and two great-grandchildren, John “TJ” Wallen III and Brody McArdle.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, at St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Rt. 405, Montgomery, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with her minister, James Girven, officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, 196 Brick Church Rd., Montgomery, PA 17752.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
