Elizabeth Jane Rife

Elizabeth Jane Rife, 70, of Williamsport, went to her heavenly home Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home.

Born March 18, 1949 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Harriet A. (Miller) Rife.

Jane was a 1969 graduate of Warrior Run High School. She previously worked at Brodart, Williamsport prior to a lengthy career as a supervisor in fire rating at Liberty Mutual, Williamsport. Jane retired as an assistant from Dr. Steven Hartung’s, DPM.

She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Dewart.

Jane enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, California, Florida and to see shows in Branson and Myrtle Beach. She was all about having fun and loved having dinner and movies with family and friends. Jane was fond of her cats and often stuffed animals relaxed on her car ledge. Jane enjoyed sending special greeting cards with kittens and puppies on them. She kept up with movie magazines, stars and everything TV. Before arthritis made it difficult to get around, Jane was quite the movie buff.

Surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lona Sholly, of Dewart and Connie and Larry Sholly, of Allenwood; two nephews and their wives, Larry Jr. and Crystal Sholly, of Watsontown and Lon and Brenda Sholly, of Limestonville; and two great nieces, Ashley Sholly and her fiancé, Evan Meyer, of Turbotville and Megan Sholly, of Limestonville.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Judith A. Rife, who passed away Jan. 27, 2013.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Brian Cieslukowski, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery.
