Harold D. “Henry” Wagner, 85, of Lewisburg, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born August 6, 1934 in Laurelton, he was a son of the late Alviah and Margaret (Hauck) Wagner.
Henry graduated from Lewisburg High School. Following high school, he served in the United States Army in the 385th Military Police Battalion Company C in the 7th Army under General Mark Clark.
He worked for the former Pennsylvania House Furniture, Lewisburg for many years.
Henry was a member of Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg and served on the Lewisburg Borough Council.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and collecting antiques.
Most importantly, Henry loved spending time with his family and friends, always planning picnics and family reunions.
Surviving are 13 nieces and nephews, Rita (Mike) Cormell, Pat Schrawder, Glenn (Coleen) Wagner, Charlton (Linda) Wagner, Keith (Barbara) Wagner, Lance (Janice) Wagner, Donald (Sherry) Wagner, Rick (Kathy) Wagner, Susan Colan, Chris Wagner, Mahlon Miller, Pam Kerstetter and Peter Hubbard.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a seven siblings, Mahlon, Charlton, Donald and Dalton Wagner, Mary Lou Hubbard, Geraldine Miller and Naomi Beaver.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third St., Lewisburg with his pastor, the Rev. William S. Henderson, officiating
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
