Mary Snook Obituary

Mary Jane Snook, 67, of Allenwood, died unexpectedly Friday, November 2, 2018 at her home.

She was born December 29, 1950 in Millville, a daughter of the late LaRue and Anna (Hill) Harris. On November 22, 1986 she married Lawrence “Larry” Snook, who survives. Together they celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Jane was a 1969 graduate of Warrior Run High School. She worked at the former Acme Markets, Lewisburg. Most recently she worked at Giant Foods, Danville in the bakery.

Jane attended New Hope Baptist Church, Middleburg. She and her husband were members of the American Folk Musician Association, District 11. Jane enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking. She was also an avid reader.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Horacio Agueros, of Austin TX; a son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Jessica Rhone, of Penns Creek; three step children and their spouses, Michael and Tiffany Snook, of Mifflinburg, Matthew and Carla Snook, of Glen Iron and Laurie and Leroy Troester, of Mazeppa; 14 grandchildren, Alana, AJ, Will, Alex, Casey, Cara, Zachary, Chelsea, Madison, Destiny, Jake, Alec, Julianna and Austin; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Robert Harris and one sister, Shirley McHenry.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the New Hope Baptist Church, 8709 State Rt. 522, Middleburg, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with her son, the Rev. Aaron Rhone, officiating.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family welcomes flowers, however, if desired memorial contributions in Jane’s name may be made to the Warrior Run Fire Department, P. O. Box 8, Watsontown, PA 17777.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown.
