Matthew P. Snyder

Matthew P. Snyder, 52, of Muncy, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport, with his loving wife by his side.

Born July 15, 1970 in Williamsport, he was a son of Kenneth N. Snyder, of Pennsdale, and the late Joan B. (Koons) Snyder. On November 4, 2017 he married the former Kelly Wiseman, the love of his life, and together they celebrated five years of marriage.

Matthew was a 1988 graduate of Muncy High School.  He worked for his father in construction, then later for Construction Specialties, Muncy. Most recently he was employed by White Deer Run Treatment Center, Allenwood.  Matthew was a friend of Bill.

He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, going out to eat and attending KISS concerts. Matthew loved cuddling his animals, Mira and Mr. Kitty. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his father and wife are three sons, Noah Snyder, of Muncy, Justin Greiner, and his wife Alena, of Muncy and Jesse Greiner, of Hughesville; three grandchildren, Claire, Jason and Jake Greiner; three sisters, Melanie Snyder, and her husband Gregory, of Muncy, Pamela Fenstermacher, and her husband Valentine, of Watsontown and Betsey Richner, of Pennsdale; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas and Kenneth Snyder II.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main Street, Muncy with Rev. Ben Lander, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Matthew’s name be made to Susquehanna Health Foundation, c/o the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
