Randy Snyder Obituary

Randy L. Snyder, 59, of Muncy, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Born July 26, 1961 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Lester Snyder and Phyllis (Vandine) Weikel, of Montoursville. Randy was raised by his mother and step father, the late Pete Weikel. On September 28, 1985, he married the former Donna Bogart, who survives. Together they celebrated 35 years of marriage.

He was a graduate of Muncy High School. Randy previously worked as a machinist at Data Paper, Muncy and as a manager at NOV, Montoursville. Most recently he worked as a manager at Forum Technologies, Montoursville.

Randy was a lifelong volunteer Firefighter, most recently with the Hughesville Fire Department and an EMT, performing the role of instructor for over 30 years. He was a member of the Muncy Area Mutual Aid, providing the firefighting training program. Randy enjoyed hunting, loved John Wayne movies and John Deere’s. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Amber Snyder, of Montoursville and Travis and Kayla Snyder, of Pennsdale; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Athena Snyder, of Muncy; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Jason Springman, of Muncy; brother-in-law, Fred Ellis, of Sayre; three grandchildren, Aria, Amilia and Bryden Snyder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and step father, he was predeceased by a sister, Fran Ellis.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held in the Muncy Cemetery.
