Ray Edward Rothfuss Jr., 78, of Muncy, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born June 2, 1943 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Ray Sr. and Eva (Green) Rothfuss. On December 9, 1966 he married the former Gael Vial, who survives. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Ray was a 1962 graduate of Muncy High School. He worked for 47 years at the former Sprout Waldron, now Andritz, and was a member of the quarter century club.
He was a member of the Muncy Masonic Lodge #299, F & AM. Ray enjoyed trap shooting, hunting and going to the race track to watch his son race.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Ray Edward Rothfuss III and his wife, Angela, of Clarkstown; one daughter, Christine Rothfuss, of Ocean Pines, MD; two sisters, Betty Jane Bullock, of Florida and Mary Ann Lamparter, of Dover; and two grandchildren, Austin and Colin Rothfuss.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
