Ricky L. Wertz

Ricky L. Wertz, 64, of Muncy, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born November 11, 1956 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late William Sr. and Fern (Entz) Wertz. On March 19, 1976, he married the former Treslynn Long, who preceded him in death June 26, 2018 . Together they celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Ricky was a graduate of Muncy High School. He worked as a store manager for Sears for over 30 years and retired when the store closed.

He enjoyed playing bingo and going to the beach, especially to the Outer Banks, and cherished his dog, Stanley.

Most importantly, Ricky loved spending time with family and fishing with his grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Matthew Wertz, of Hughesville and Randy Wertz and his significant other, Wendy Riddell, of Muncy; seven grandchildren, Faith, Hannah, twins Gage and Collin, and Dakota, Bailey and Kayleigh; one great-grandson, Hunter; two brothers, Bill Wertz, Jr. and his wife, Jean and Dale Wertz, Sr. and his wife, Gloria, all of Muncy; and sister-in-law, Sharon Wertz, of Hughsville.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Rodney Wertz.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Montgomery.
