Obituary
Sally M. (Bonawitz) Bilby, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born April 20, 1950 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Grimm) Bonawitz. She married Woodrow “Woody” Bilby. Together they celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Sally attended Montgomery schools. She worked for many years sewing at the former Lending Textile, Montgomery. After retirement, Sally babysat, helping raise over 20 children whom she considered grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Muncy are a daughter, Karen Bilby, of Muncy; a son, Matthew Bibly, of Montgomery; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Louann and Richard King, of Lewisburg, Fay and Warren Young, of Milton and Debbie and Wayne Houseknecht, of Clarkstown; a brother-in-law, Bruce Sones, of Muncy; and all the children whom affectionately called her Nanny.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kay Sones and Nancy and Don Rood.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
