Sarah L. Smith

Sarah L. Smith, 75, of Mifflinburg, died Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born May 6, 1945 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Elmer J. and Pauline K. (Schell) Steffen. On October 20, 1972, she married Marlin Smith, who preceded her in death November 9, 2016. Together they celebrated 44 years of marriage.

Sarah was a 1964 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. She worked for Huntingdon Silk Mill, Mifflinburg, JPM Industries, Lewisburg, and most recently for Evangelical Community Hospital in food services. She also spent her time as a farm wife, helping Marlin around their farm.

She loved animals, especially her German Sheppard, Candy, cockatiel, Patty and all of her geese and sheep. Sarah also enjoyed going out to eat.

Surviving is her sister, Mary Doorman, of Mifflinburg.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be held privately on the family farm.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
