My sympathy and prayers to Dave and family. I am so, so sorry to have missed the service but please know she has been in my prayers and will be forever in my heart. Cindy was awesome to work with and I feel blessed to have known her. Her sense of humor was priceless, though at times, I did not understand what she meant :-)....we sure did share many laughs together over the years. She was a dedicated nursing instructor...always there for the students and patients. A wonderful teacher. Her energy was amazing to all of us instructors. But most importantly, she loved her family and I loved hearing about them and the pictures she shared with me. I will miss you, my friend. I know you will be looking down on us. Until we meet again......God Bless all of you....

I first met Cindy and her family when we moved to Allenwood in 1968. "Beaner" and John were very young, as were our two children, Brett and Nicole. I have memories of all of us going for walks and taking a picnic lunch along. From the first moment I met her, I realized how very special Cindy was. She was one of the most genuine, kind, happy , loving people I had the privilege of knowing. I will never forget her smile! My love and prayers to all of her family.

Thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Mrs. Tanner was a wonderful nursing instructor and the knowledge that she shared has touched so many. She knew how to motivate a person to stretch themselves to achieve a higher goal and her words were golden encouragement for one to believe in themselves. I cherish the angel pin that our class had received from her and will miss the beautiful person the earth has lost but Heaven has gained.

Dave and family,

Cindy was such a kind, sweet and gentle soul. Through the past years, when you knew that she wasn't well, she didn't let her illness damper the family's spirit at gatherings.

She'll be missed by all that knew her. Our condolences and love to the family.

Heaven gained a wonderful individual. Mrs. Tanner was an exceptional nurse whom I had the privilege of having as an instructor. I will forever be grateful to have had her for clinicals and learned so much from her. She will be greatly missed. I just want her family to know that in my opinion she was the BEST NURSING INSTRUCTOR EVER!
