I'm very sorry to hear of Aunt Dot's passing. I have many happy memories of her and Uncle Karl at the Strouse cabin by Glen Iron and on their farm. Once, while the uncles were playing "penny ante" at the big table on the cabin porch, Aunt Janet was watching and painting her finger nails. I was fascinated, and she obligingly painted mine. All the uncles laughed, and I was crushed and started crying. Aunt Dot took me aside, and we sat on the porch swing while she removed all the red paint and told me to pay no mind to all the uncles. An act of kindness that has stayed with me for over 66 years. God bless you, Aunt Dot.

Miss Dorothy was a lovely lady and wonderful neighbor. We miss seeing her walking around the neighborhood and chatting at her mailbox. We cherish the crocheted Easter eggs she made for us and think fondly of her, often. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her whole family. We know they loved her dearly. Please know, she is remembered and missed greatly, on Lamplight Lane. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sorry for your loss. I remember Aunt Dot fondly at family reunions. She was blessed to have such a long life with so many loved ones. My thoughts are with you at this time.
