My first meeting with Fred was when he bought the property from my grandfather on which he and Rose Marie built their home. He struck me as a kind and gracious gentleman. Over the years that sentiment did not change. He was a fine husband, father and grandfather and I will miss him. I did not until later that he served in the Navy as I did and that link, I believe, is what made him a fine human being.

I am glad that I knew him and I will miss him.
