Matthew C. "Matt" Richardson, 26, of Watsontown, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born February 18, 1990 in Lewisburg, a son of the late Robert M. Richardson, Sr. and Susan (Snyder) Richardson, of Watsontown.

Matt attended Warrior Run Schools and formerly worked at Watson Inn, Watsontown and Dynamic Surface Application (DSA), Muncy.  He most recently worked for Millers Cleaning Service.

Matt was a very fun loving and kindhearted person, known for being silly and playing pranks while at the same time being a hard worker and very strong willed.  He loved playing sports, paintball and shooting guns.  Matt was the adventure type and enjoyed camping, rides through the mountain and walks at PPL Montour Preserve.  He was also known for making hemp necklaces.

Most important to Matt was his family, especially his mother whom he loved with all his heart and could always rely on for support.  He was known affectionately by his family as "Monkey" and enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and girlfriend.  Matt also cherished the times he took his grandmother to Knoebels.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, Robert Richardson, Jr., of Harrisburg, and Kevin Richardson, and his fiancé, Jenelle Longacre, of Watsontown; one sister, Tammy Hunter, and her husband, Lynn Jr., of Dewart; his girlfriend, Amanda Baker, and her daughter, Adrianna Bame, of Watsontown; three uncles, Mark and Jim Snyder, both of Watsontown, and John Snyder, and his wife, Lisa, of Harrisburg; two aunts, Sharon Hall and Donna Snyder, both of Watsontown; six nieces and nephews, Isaac Sherman, Zachary Hunter, MaddiLynn Hunter, Aden and Ava Richardson, and Heather Longacre; and numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins, including Brian Byers.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his grandmother, Margaret Snyder.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Matt's name be made to Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main Street, Watsontown, to help defray funeral expenses.
