I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear Rodney. Please take comfort in knowing that he is now simply sleeping, but only until the day Jesus calls for "all" in the grave to "come out." (John 5:28, 29; 11:11, 43) He will awaken to the earth when sickness, suffering, and eventually death, are no more. (Psalm 37:29; Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:4) This promise comes from our Creator, Jehovah God, "who cannot lie." (Titus 1:2; Psalm 83:18) As you await this time, know too that He has invited you to "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Take care dear ones and if you would like more comforting information with regard to the hope of all now resting in the grave, please visit www.jw.org.

Deepest heartfelt sympathies to the Aderhold family.  It's been a few years since I last ran into Rodney at the Lewisburg Walmart.  As always, he had that big smile and we spoke for quite some time.  It was a pleasure seeing him - I am truly sorry for your loss.

Respectfully,

Mark Bender - class of 86

Our deepest sympathy to Rodney's family and dear friends.  Hearing the loss of Rodney was both shocking and sad, a beautiful life gone to soon.  We have had the privilege of knowing Rodney for our six years at Liberty Hill.  He was always so very kind, a smile on his face, always willing to stop and say "hello", and always willing to help.  He planted a beautiful dogwood for us and it along with many other beautiful landscapes will stand as a wonderful memory to our "friend" here at Liberty Hill. He will live on at Liberty Hill with the beauty he gave our community. Our prayers for God to hold you in His everloving arms, giving comfort and peace as only He can give.  May the many years of memories give you much peace.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Rodney's sudden death. Words cannot express the sadness we feel knowing that we will no longer see Rodney's smiling face in our neighborhood. Our most recent memories of Rodney include sharing refreshments (Scotch) in our home at Liberty Hill just a few weeks ago. The Japanese Lilac tree that he planted near our patio recently will serve as a living tribute to Rodney and keep his memory alive. Rodney will truly be missed but his landscaping legacy will live on. Our deepest sympathy to Rodney's family & friends.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Rodney's family. Words cannot express how sad we feel about his passing. We knew Rodney from living at Liberty Hill & our restaurant-Kelly's in Boalsburg. He was one of the most likeable people ever. He always had a smile & was willing to help out with our landscaping needs. Our community is just not the same without him. May God give you peace & comfort during this very difficult time.

I was truly shocked and sadden by the news when I heard it. Rodney was first a customer of mine but that quickly went to a friend. He called me whenever he needed a little information on a project, or a issue he was dealing with. I always liked to help him out in any way I could. He was truly one of the good ones. Rest in piece Rodney, you will be greatly missed.

When we heard about Rodney, we were both shocked and saddened.  We are part of the Liberty Hill community.  Rodney was “our” landscaper and he built our patio.  Rodney made everyone’s world colorful and beautiful with his landscaping, and his memory will live on through every tree and every bush that he planted throughout our community.  In the conversations we had throughout the years with Rodney, he often spoke fondly of his family and friends, and his many visits to Florida.  Rodney was very personable, always upbeat, and was a true craftsman of his trade.  Rodney was a fine young man and he was taken from this world too soon.  He is greatly missed.  We extend our deepest sympathy to Rodney’s family and to his many friends.

Jim and Family,
There are no words to tell you how heartbroken I am that Rodney is gone. I met him when he came to State College and we were immediate friends. I am blessed that I got to know him and call him my friend, even for such a short period of time. He was truly one of a kind, always had a huge smile, always made me laugh, he brightened a room as soon as he walked into it. Rodney touched so many lives in such a positive way, take comfort knowing that a lot of people loved him. There will never be another Rodney and I will cherish my friendship with him for the rest of my life.

Words can not speak to what a loss this is to his family. To lose such a wonderful son, bother and uncle. His smile, laughter and personality lit up the room like nobody else could. I hope you find peace in knowing how much he was loved and enjoyed by everyone. From the first day I met him he won me over. I will forever cherish the memories of the two years we were able to spend together. My heart will have a huge hole in it forever without him..... my daughter will miss him dearly too.

You were there when I needed guidance and help with a troubled child, even after you could have walked away. For this I will be forever grateful. You have touched so many lives, you will be missed, you were taken from us far too soon. Those left behind will not mourn your passing but celebrate your life 😢

My friend, I will miss you!
I remember my childhood days of riding my bike from Milton to Montandon just to spend a few hours with my buddy, who always treated me with kindness and respect.  I remember riding bikes together and coasting down a nearby hill and making contact with our tires, walking home to the Aderhold household to have your mom render first aid.  I remember pitching in the "World Series" in your back yard and using your father's wood pile as the back stop.  I remember us being class clowns in social studies.  I remember the "Buddy System" and the "Esprit De Corps" we developed and shared from the Marine Corp .  I remember anytime that I was in town after not seeing you for a few years, it was like we never missed a beat and my friend Rodney would sit, share stories and yes smile.  I would always hope that when I came home I would run into Rodney.  As I mentioned many of times that I remember, however I will never forget a good and honorable man like Rodney.
I'm sorry that I have waited to speak......as I was upset and at a loss for words.
Jim, Faith, Joyce and Rodney's entire family, may god watch over your family in your time of sorrow.

I had the opportunity to work on several landscape projects with Rodney in State College.  Rodney was an absolute pleasure to work with.  He was focused on his customers and he did high quality work while at the same time he was so laid back and easy to get along with.  That is a rare combination.  My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
