Bill, you were my science teacher in Wethersfield, 1949-1952, and I never forgot you. You were not only an outstanding educator, and a neighbor in the project, you were a wonderful friend to all your students. And you started a chess club, a game that became a lifelong passion for me. I still recall you describing how you flew your B-26 to England via the West Indies, Brazil, West Africa and Gibraltar. God Bless, Bill, and thanks again for helping to shape and illuminate my life. It was an honor to have known Bill. I didn't know him well, but his personality, his love for family was something I will remember always. His family lived their lives as an example that was set from Bill. Rest in peace Bill.

Thank you Bill for our conversation about your B-26 flying. You are a hero. I looked forward to seeing your green convertible pull up at the diner each morning. Thanks for your service. RIP.
