I worked with Katie at Sunflower Child Care Center. She was such a special lady, always upbeat and looking forward to sharing her "surprise" (in her bag) with the children in her group. She had a way with sparking their interest as she kept them guessing what she had for them. Katie was an inspiration to all the younger staff who worked along side her and I was one of them. RIP Katie!❤️

I got to know Katie through working with her in the afternoons at Sunflower. We soon found that we shared March as our birthday month. I always looked to Katie as a smiling face who shared her love of children and enhanced their imagination through play. Her tea parties were a part of afternoon play at Sunflower. Truly a wonderful woman. Sending our prayers to all of your family.

My sincere sympathy to your family. My father, Elwood Hartman, and Ned knew each other growing up. When I was ordained, Ned and Kathryn gifted me with a small cross-stitch Chi Rho. I have treasured it these many years. May you know the prace of Christ in these days.

I remember Katie and Ned from Kappa Phi and the Wesley Foundation here in State College. Katie was the Kappa Phi Sponsor when I came here in 1980, and I became Sponsor after her in 1983. What fond memories I have. My condolence to all. Jean Chirpas

Our sympathies to all the family. The Wellers were part of my (Judy) happiest youth memories at High Street Methodist church.
