Melanie Ann Werni

Melanie Ann Werni, 61, of Watsontown, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born December 31, 1954 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Don L. Sr. and Laura M. (Whitmoyer) Reitmeyer. Melanie and her husband, Joseph Werni, who survives, were married March 30, 1990 and celebrated 26 years together.

Melanie attended Warrior Run High School.  Early in life she worked at Springs Window Fashions, Montgomery and was also a caretaker for many of her family and friends.

She was of the Christian Faith.

Melanie enjoyed travelling and looked forward to spending time at the beach in Wildwood Crest.  She was very strong and courageous as evident by her being a cancer survivor.  Melanie could many times be found with a cup of coffee on her porch spending time with family and friends, which was most important to her.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Heather Nicole Fogelman, of Muncy; one son, Joshua Jason Fogelman (Angelica), of Watsontown; one sister, Debra Bieber, of White Deer; five grandchildren, Breanna Walburn, Kaelyn Fogelman, Gavin Fogelman, Jazmyn Walburn and Ayden Harris; and one great-grandchild, Hazelyn Walburn.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Lauren Christine; and one brother, Don L. Reitmeyer II.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown where the funeral will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

The family will also be having a celebration of life for Melanie in the spring.
